If you don't think the government will purposely burn down food processing plants, burn heards of cattle, and products bad chicken feed so that they can't lay eggs; they did it in the 1870s when they wanted to build the transcontinental railroad. It was going through Native land so naturally they were defending their land so the government rounded them all up and put them on Reservations. Those like Crazy Horse, Geronimo, and (Chief Joseph of Nez Perce who took his people to people to Canada) that resisted to go onto the Reservations the government started killing Buffalo and eventually they didn't have enough food to survive so they had no choice but to comply.
