(With a Face For Radio...and a Voice Just Perfect For Silent Films, I will Not Subject you to a Video!)I'm a Common Man...I Believe in Common Sense, Common Courtesy, and Common Decency. I am an Independent Thinker...and an Independent Voter. A Child of the 50s and 60s...a Legal Voter of the 70s, who grew up in Simpler Times, and became politically aware in more Tolerant times.So I Thought.My parents allowed me to learn about life, death and politics on my own terms...without the perceptions and prejudices of Their Generation. (My Italian Grandmother wanted to be a Nun, but was forced into an arranged marriage...raised Catholic, my Father was Denied the Right to marry my Mom by his 'church' because She Wasn't Catholic, so He...Walked Away from Them!) I was given the Choice to go to churches...where I soon realized that All Religions are Fiction and All gods are Imaginary.My earliest memory of Politics was the burned-in-my-brain horror of the murder of JFK...and the eternally-tragic and gut-wrenching image of John John's Salute.When I reached voting age, I tended to prefer the Democratic Ideals...they seemed more Civil and Accepting than the Other Side.So I Thought.While History bored me in High School, I Chose to Open my Mind and took Political Science in college. I Never learned before then that it had been Abraham Lincoln's True Intention to Not merely Free the Slaves, but to Release them from their Kidnapping and Forced Bondage and Allow Them To Return To Africa.The Light Dawned then that there were Probably Multiple Sides to Everything I had been taught! When a Very Republican relative began to bombard me with Anything and Everything Democratically Negative, I started doing my own research and found that for Each Article Against a Democratic Policy or Candidate, there were Just As Many, sometimes More, Equally Negative about Republicans! But, I had No Desire to Waste my time playing Political Ping Pong! I Finally Understood that Neither Side had All The Answers, but Both Sides Did have Their Own Agendas!I realized then that If You Lean Too Far Left Or Right—You Fall Over! No Longer would I be swayed...by Anyone, or Any One Party! If Your Idea of a 'Party' Is Democrat Or Republican...Lose My Invitation!So....I Thought. I began to educate myself about the True Lies of Both Sides, and base my voting decisions on who or what was Right...make that Correct...for All of Us, not just One Side or the Other.Neither side has All the Answers to All the Issues...I believed that I should vote Democratically because of their so-called equality-for-all mantra. And that I should Not vote Republican because They are all-religion-all-the-time. But, I realized that I would have to pick and choose Each Issue, Each Candidate...one size Did Not Fit All!And now...while there are Many Things I Do Not Like about the Republican way of thinking, what the Democratic side has Become is Truly Dangerous! To All of Us! To All of The USA!! If those Americans from Middle-Left to Middle-Right were in Charge, I believe we Might Stand a Chance. But, the Extremes, of Both Sides, are creating the Division and Chaos. Currently, though, it is the Farthest Left/Socialist Extreme Mentality that is waging the war on America. They are Clearly The Immediate Problem. I Hope this Campaign Helps us find the Answers....I like to Think it Will.So....I Thought....and Now I...Walk Away.
