I wrote this, to say thank you, to all of you incredible #walkawayers back in March of 2019 and I wanted to re-share on this new platform. Even with the horrors we have experienced under this crazy, woke, Communist Democrats you give me hope. A #WalkAwayWith Testimonial To every INCREDIBLE person that is part of this movement, I want to say, thank you and God Bless. I have been following your posts and videos and it makes me proud that I was fortunate enough to become a US Citizen 35 years ago.I want to share my families story because I want to show you why your movement is so important to LEGAL IMMIGRANTS like myself. That because of it, I have hope for this Countries future.I am just so grateful to be in the US, grateful that I am a US citizen, so grateful that I live in the great state of Texas and in the great city of Houston.My families story is simple. It was Nicaragua 1979 and my father was General Manager of PanAms’s division in the Country. My Dad was the oldest of 7 children, born to a retired US Marine, that stayed in the country because he fell in love with a beautiful girl of Spanish decent born in Nicaragua. Because of the way my Grandfather raised him, my father believes in hard work and freedom of free capitalism. He was a Merchant Marine for 5 years for goodness sake. He and his employees REFUSED to go on strike during the Revolution between President Somoza and the Sandinistas. The Sandinistas where being founded by Cuba and Russia. Not in a million years would my father side with Communism. Because of his stance, when the Sandinistas won, he became an enemy of the new government and he had to escape or be killed.My father planned ahead though. My mom, my brother and myself boarded the last PanAm flight leaving the country and stayed with family living in Galveston, TX.My father stayed behind and it was a very terrifying time for us. Eventually, with the help of God and the Marine’s Stationed at the US Embassy, my father and others were able to escape on a US Military Cargo Plane. Till this day my father always laughs and says that it was “the most comfortable” flight he had ever had even sitting on his suitcase.Eventually we were reunited and our work towards citizenships started. It took 6 years to achieve our dream. But eventually all of us, with 1,300 other patriots, stood in The Houston Colosseum swearing our alliance to this incredible country and the Constitution which it is founded on. I cried tears of joy and I still do when I remember that day. I swore that day that I would never turn my back on what the USA stood for. I remember like it was yesterday my father crying because Reagan had won. I remember all the yellow ribbons for the Hostages in Iran and remember, that because of Reagan, they were freed. I remember President Reagan standing on the Berlin Wall and saying, “Mr. Gorbachev TEAR THIS WALL DOWN!” I remember President Bush and our country standing together after 911. Then the nightmare of the eighth years of the Obama’s Presidency started. The Apology tour of the Middle East. Obama apologizing to the countries that had done so much damage to us. The oil embargo off the coast of Texas that caused so much economic hardship on my state. Obamacare which is nothing more than Healt Care Controlled by Government. More and more Government control and propaganda. Young people believing that Socialism and Communism was a great thing. My heart broke and my fears escalated to a point of controlling everything. Was the homeland that I loved and had protected me, from the horrors of Communism, turning to what we had escaped? PLEASE GOD DO NOT LET IT BE SO!Because of my fears I felt that I had to do something no matter how trivial it was. I started volunteering during Elections and became an Election Poll Worker. Today I am the Republican Precinct Election Judge for my district. I walked and Campaigned for Cruz and then eventually for Trump. I know what Communism is! I know what families that stayed behind in Nicaragua went through! I know that the Crap the Democrats push is the same crap that has destroyed Cuba, Nicaragua and is destroying Venezuela!I don’t want our people to have to build 10 ft fences with barb wire on top to protect their homes like it is in those countries. But with open borders, ICE disbanded, loosing our second amendment rights and any of the stupid Ideas the Socialist Democrats push it could come to that.BUT THE #WALKAWAY MOVEMENT HAS RESTORED MY FAITH IN THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! YOU CANNOT BE BRAINWASHED AND BE MADE TO BELIEVE THE LIES THE DEMOCRATS FEED YOU ABOUT COMMUNISM / SOCIALISM AND HOW GREAT IT IS!Sorry that I wrote so much but when I get emotional I just can’t stop.
