View MoreYou are the epitome of what decent liberals used to be. Many of the best conservatives are those who used to be on the left. Because those who have the left mindset are usually concerned with good things AND they have an activist (get involved) attitude. But those who are logical and smart enough to see what the left has become (instead of what it claims to be) still have the activist nature of the left, but they also have the intelligence of the conservatives--who are generally a little less activist in nature, and who just want to be left alone. For many years, that seemed to work just fine, because the radical left was a small minority and we arrogantly felt that we could laugh at their silly notions and metaphorically pat them on head and in essence say, "Yeah, yeah, stupid little liberal." But the apathy of conservatives, and the assumption that we were dealing with people who think and act the same way we do, has allowed the radical left to chip away at the percentages and to take control of the elements of culture and government that have now allowed them to become tyrants, in many cases. The Democrats have gotten rid of most of the moderates (like Joe Lieberman) who used to be in their party. And when their policies fail, they no longer back down and pretend to be more moderate again--instead they double down and rely on the structures they've built to protect and support them. This has caused an internal conflict for those who align themselves with what the left claims to believe in, on the one hand, and yet see what the left has actually become on the other. Most of us do not have the strength of will or the force of personality to create such an important movement as WalkawaySocial. We feel isolated in the liberal sea of the media or the communities we live in. But like the fake world the media tries to create for us, that's just an illusion. We who see the left for what they actually are--and yet strive for what they claim to be--are the majority. People like you, Brandon, let us see this. You have given us a voice, and now--hopefully--some tools we can use to fight back against the myths created by the radical left.
