View MoreI felt the need to write this and express my feelings regarding the hateful rhetoric, lies, gaslighting and deceit being pushed by the mainstream media, and the Democratic party. I personally feel demoralized and astonished by the current climate in our country. What seems missing to me is actually any critical thinking, compassion, integrity or courage. I wish to be the kind of person who tries to encompass all of those things but I know I will fail so each day I ask for forgiveness and try again. I hope you will read the testimonial with a sense of openness and understanding. In order to achieve unity we must all be able to accept each other and even if we disagree, have open, honest discussion. Not just ignore, gaslight, divide and spread false rumors, lies, slurs and propaganda. Thank you, Bronwyn The violent rhetoric, hate, lies, gaslighting and double standards from the main stream media, Democratic party, Rino Republicans, Hollywood, famous musicians and the Left, towards Republicans, Conservatives, Independents, Trump supporters and others who are common sense people who support Trump for President needs to stop now. I believe there is a moral rot and complacency occurring in our country. There have now been 2 assassination attempts against the former President and current GOP political candidate running for office Donald J Trump in less than 8 weeks. Our main stream media and many Democratic and Rino Republican politicians wish to blame Donald Trump and his supporters for these attempts on his life. I personally find these accusations to be offensive, not based in any factual data, biased, and a way for the Democratic party to leverage political lies and dissent against the American people to win an election. Lets look at how many times in the last 4 years and longer that the Democratic party, Hollywood stars, and famous musicians have influenced the American People with their hateful rhetoric of Donald J Trump. People throw around the word Hitler to use against anyone or anything you do not like. I believe we should be better at our use and choice of language in such divisive and destructive times that we are living. “Speak your words impeccable.” This statement is rarity today. The fact is that no one has any factual data that Trump and his supporters are violent or are threats to our Democracy which is not a true statement we are a Republic. “A democracy is a system where people vote to select rulers who then have absolute power by majority vote among themselves. In contrast, a Constitutional Republic involves the people selecting rulers who make laws within the constraints of a constitution that limits their power, aiming to protect individual liberty.” People and many politicians in this country believe we are a Democracy but if you look closely at the definition of both Democracy and Republic there is a stark difference in definition. See for yourself above. Note that phrase “our democracy”: Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris,Tim Walz, Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, and various other talking heads have repeated it ad nauseam. But you do not need an advanced degree in hermeneutics to understand that what they mean by “our democracy” is their oligarchy. Refer again to the exact definition of “ A Democracy” Similarly, when Pelosi talks about “the people’s house,” she doesn’t mean a house that welcomes riff-raff like me ie: / Trump supporters, Republicans, Conservatives or Independents who do not support the Democratic agenda.” It is apparent to me that Trump and his supporters are blamed for all of the violent rhetoric today. It is an almost strange obsession with the left that somehow if Donald J Trump were gone that “ all of their so called problems” would disappear” I hate to tell you that that is a lie you are telling yourself to make your life somehow feel better” The only way to improve your own life is to look at yourself, work hard, have discipline, seek truth, meritocracy, and ask for forgiveness. The facts as the disillusioned Left would have you believe are: If Trump is almost assassinated it is his fault, if god forbid any violence occurs towards the Democratic party, Trump and his supporters are blamed.Basically blamed for anything. I ask you in all honestly to point to one incident when the Republicans, Conservatives, Trump Supporters or others who support Trump have acted out violently? Lets take a look at the many times the Left and the Democratic party have called Trump Hitler and declared that he and his supporters are “a threat to Democracy” Many influential actors, journalists, and influencers warned that Trump is an “existential threat” to democracy, compared him to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, and suggested he or his supporters should face violent attacks. Some continued attacking Trump even after the first assassination attempt July 13. The New Tolerance Campaign, a nonprofit watchdog aimed at confronting “intolerance double standards” practiced by “establishment institutions, civil rights groups, universities, and socially conscious brands,” compiled a list of extreme rhetoric against Trump that may have contributed to the second assassination attempt. “New Tolerance Campaign research has shown two kinds of consistent and consistently charged rhetoric surrounding President Trump: insistence that his reelection would lead to the collapse of the country, and calls for the former president’s death, “These proclamations aren’t sarcastic; they’re literal, and they’re being spoken by high-profile politicians and members of the mainstream media with massive audiences,” Angelo added. “It’s shocking that there have been two attempts on President Trump’s life, but not surprising given the existential hyperbole about him pounding Americans’ ears day in and day out.” Other Violent Threats to Trump Both Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, who authorities say shot Trump in the right ear July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, and Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, the man suspected of planning to assassinate the former president Sunday at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, got surprisingly close to the former president. However, New Tolerance Campaign identified five others who faced charges for threatening to harm or kill Trump. In January 2021, a judge sentenced 53-year-old Connecticut resident Gary Joseph Gravelle to nine years in prison after his conviction for sending a letter threatening to kill Trump in September 2018. In January 2022, police arrested and charged New York City resident Thomas Welnicki, 72, with calling the Secret Service and threatening to kill Trump. He proclaimed that he intended to “stand up to fascism” by assassinating the former president. In August, police arrested Arizona resident Ronald Lee Syvrud, 66, and charged him with threatening Trump’s life during the former president’s campaign trip to the Copper State. In July, police arrested and charged Florida resident Michael M. Wiseman, 68, with making written threats to kill Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, after the assassination attempt in Butler. Last month, police arrested and charged Illinois resident Justin Lee White, 36, with repeatedly threatening Trump, police, and Republicans with violence if the former president didn’t “play fair” during the election campaign. Where would Welnicki get the idea that standing up to “fascism” involves targeting Trump? The full list of left-leaning pundits, celebrities, and politicians who compared Trump to Hitler would be too long to compile. But New Tolerance Campaign highlighted many examples, and The Daily Signal has narrowed them down to the list below. (The worst is at the bottom.) None of the people in the list below responded to The Daily Signal’s requests for comment by publication time. 1. Shalom Auslander Most Americans may not have heard of novelist Shalom Auslander, 54, but in 2016 he penned an op-ed in The Washington Post claiming that comparing Trump to Hitler “belittles Hitler.” Auslander first claimed that Hitler had evil plans, while Trump is “just a con man,” but then the novelist suggested that Americans today are “like Hitler’s willing executioners.” “Will we look the other way, say we didn’t know, stand silently by while millions of our neighbors are rounded up, while women who get abortions are ‘punished,’ while immigrants are given ‘ideology tests’ and our leader heaps praise on oppressive tyrants?” he wrote. The writer didn’t suggest that Trump would round up Jews and send them to concentration camps, but he did suggest Trump would “round up” Americans’ “neighbors” in a similarly ominous way. 2. Linda Ronstadt Rock and country singer Linda Ronstadt, then 73, explicitly compared Trump to Hitler in July 2019. Ronstadt, who is of Mexican descent, recalled that when Trump first announced his candidacy for president, she predicted, “It’s going to be like Hitler, and the Mexicans are the new Jews.” “And sure enough, that’s what he delivered,” she said. “It’s exactly the same. Joe Scarborough Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” repeated the line that Trump posed an existential threat to America’s representative form of government. Scarborough said last November that Trump “is running to end American democracy as we know it.” “He will imprison, he will execute whoever he is allowed to imprison, execute, drive from the country,” the MSNBC host said of Trump, whom he called an “authoritarian.” ‘Morning Joe’ Scarborough goes on UNHINGED Anti-Trump RANT: “He will imprison, he will execute whoever he is allowed to imprison, execute, drive from the country. Just look at his past. It’s not really hard to read” 4. Robert Kagan Also last November, political scientist Robert Kagan argued in The Washington Post that if Trump wins the 2024 presidential election the odds are “pretty good” that his presidency will “turn into a dictatorship.” Kagan warned that the “Trump administration will have many avenues to persecute its enemies, real and perceived.” He suggested that, if elected again, Trump would prevent free and fair elections in 2026. 5. Rachel Maddow MSNBC host Rachel Maddow compared Trump to both Hitler and Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Last December, Maddow said Trump “keeps saying the kinds of things, the exact kind of things, that Hitler and Mussolini said.” “There’s a reason Hitler and Mussolini said this stuff, too. It worked then, it works now,” she added. “It has worked abroad all over the world and yes, it has worked here, too. More than we like to remember.” 6. Will Stancil Will Stancil, then a candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives for District 61A, posted a suspicious question on the social media site X. “So is there any reason [Joe] Biden couldn’t just drone strike Trump and end this,” Stancil, who currently has more than 89,000 followers, wrote in January. He then deleted the post. This post arguably fits with an extremely negative view of those whom Stancil considers Trump’s supporters. Stancil’s campaign platform stated that the candidate is “committed to listening to voices across the political spectrum—with a key exception.” “For over a century, far-right extremists have not been motivated by sincere ideological belief but an inner desire to commit violence, dominate the weak, bully the unpopular, and mock the unusual,” his platform read. “Their policy commitments are typically insincere or even nonexistent; their motive force is the pleasure they take in causing pain.” 7. Keith Olbermann In March, Trump said that the “hostile press” treats him worse than Abraham Lincoln. The Biden-Harris reelection campaign posted Trump’s clip, noting: “Trump says he has been treated worse than Abraham Lincoln, who was assassinated.” Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann reposted the Biden-Harris campaign video, saying, “There’s always the hope.” Olbermann deleted the tweet and clarified that he hoped Trump gets treated badly, although his original post could be interpreted to mean that he hoped Trump got assassinated. “I’m hoping Trump’s right, that he IS treated worse than Lincoln,” Olbermann said. “As I’ve said for 9 years: THAT HE’S CONVICTED, THEN DIES IN PRISON.” 8. Robert De Niro In May, actor Robert De Niro echoed Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address by warning that “under Trump,” America’s current “kind of government will perish from the Earth.” “If Trump returns to the White House, you can kiss these freedoms goodbye that we all take for granted,” the actor declared in a speech outside the building where Trump’s controversial trial for falsifying business records was taking place. “And elections, forget about it. That’s over,” De Niro told reporters. “That’s done. If he gets in, I can tell. you right now, he will never leave. He will never leave. You know that.” The month after the first Trump assassination attempt, on July 13, saw more extreme rhetoric. 9. Jacqueline Marsaw A former congressional aide for Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., posted on Facebook that a potential Trump assassin should try not to miss “next time.” “I don’t condone violence but please get you some shooting lessons so you don’t miss next time ooops that wasn’t me talking,” Jacqueline Marsaw wrote in the post. Thompson said he fired Marsaw. His office didn’t respond to The Daily Signal’s request to connect with Marsaw for comment after the second assassination attempt. Staffer for Congressman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) no longer employed after social media post insinuating that Trump’s shooter shouldn’t have missed. 10. Randi Weingarten At the opening of the American Federation of Teachers convention in mid-July, AFT President Randi Weingarten condemned Trump as an “existential threat to democracy.” Weingarten, head of the nation’s second-largest teachers union, spoke more than a week after the assassination attempt on the former president in Pennsylvania. Randi Weingarten says Trump is an "existential threat to democracy": "The November elections will determine which path we take.. it is seldom a dramatic event or attack that lets fascism in the door. The violence comes later, after they are voted in."Unhinged lunatic. 11. Billie Joe Armstrong Billie Joe Armstrong, the 52-year-old lead singer of the rock band Green Day, lifted a Trump mask that many critics described as a “decapitated head” during a concert in Washington, D.C. The mask had the word “idiot” scrawled on itI’m not a part of the maga agenda #greenday 12. Steven ‘Destiny’ Bonnell Steven Kenneth Bonnell II, a 35-year-old influencer who goes by the name “Destiny” and gained a large audience by livestreaming video games on YouTube, said he did not have “much sympathy” for Trump supporters after the first assassination attempt. “I don’t think I have much sympathy about the attempt enough to chastise people celebrating it,” he said. Bonnell stood by this statement after English journalist Piers Morgan pressed him on it In a livestream video, Bonnell also stated: “I’m ready for the f**king great cleansing” when “we genocide conservatives in this country.” Destiny: "I'm ready for the f**king great cleansing. when we genocide conservatives in this country.”Destiny just threatened to shoot Conservatives. Several celebrities have voiced their displeasure even anger. Some have gone so far as to suggest violent measures. From Robert De Niro to Snoop Dogg, here are some left-leaning noteworthy people who have fanned themes of violence toward Trump and the GOP. Mickey Rourke In a TMZ video from 2015, this boxer-turned-actor directed his rage toward Trump, calling him a “big-mouthed bitch bully,” saying he would “love 30 seconds in a room with the little bitch.” Rourke has also expressed a desire to “give [Trump] a Louisville slugger.” Larry Wilmore In late February 2016, the host of Comedy Central’s now-canceled “The Nightly Show” joked about then-candidate Donald Trump: “I don’t want to give him any more oxygen. That’s not a euphemism, by the way. I mean it literally. Somebody get me the pillow they used to kill [Supreme Court Justice Antonin] Scalia and I’ll do it — I’ll do it!” George Lopez During the Republican primaries in March 2016, the Mexican American comedian tweeted a cartoon image of former Mexican president Vincente Fox holding the decapitated head of Donald Trump aloft, with the caption “Make America Great Again.” Marilyn Manson Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson had to take his turn in the Trump-bashing festivities. In a teaser video for his song, “Say10,” released just after the 2016 election, a Trump-like figure wearing a suit and a red tie lies decapitated on a concrete floor, in a pool of his own blood. Rosie O’Donnell In July 2017, O’Donnell tweeted out a link to a game called “Push Trump Off A Cliff Again.” This made many conservatives want to push her off a cliff, not POTUS. Madonna told a crowd of thousands at the Women’s March on Washington in January 2017 that she had “thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House.” The singer’s profanity-riddled jab at the Republican administration provoked the anger of many conservatives. Robert De Niro The actor is not afraid to express his disdain for the commander in chief. De Niro confirmed to ABC’s “The View” in February 2017 that he would like to punch Trump in the face. He clarified earlier comments, saying “It wasn’t like I was gonna go find him and [really] punch him in the face, but he’s gotta hear it.” Snoop Dogg’s music video for “Lavender,” released in March 2017, (literally) paints POTUS as a clown and orchestrates his death. At the video’s end, the “Gin and Juice” rapper points a gun at the harlequin Trump figure and shoots. But instead of a bullet, a red flag that reads “Bang!” fires out of the gun. Kathy Griffin The comedian landed in hot water in May 2017 after photos surfaced of her holding a fake bloody, decapitated Trump head. Griffin was promptly dropped from her annual New Year’s Eve gig by CNN. Toilet stool company Squatty Potty also pulled its ads featuring Griffin. Trump himself called the photos “sick” and tweeted that his youngest son, Barron, was “having a hard time” with the images. Griffin later apologized. Joan Marcus NYC Public Theater’s “Julius Caesar” The nonprofit theater staged a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar” in May-June 2017 that made conservative viewers want to revolt. In the production, a Trumplike figure playing the title role is stabbed to death by a band of angry Senators. The Public Theater subsequently lost sponsorships from Delta Airlines and Bank of America. Moby The musician’s new video, released in June 2017, is simultaneously nostalgic and dystopian. In 1980s cartoon fashion, a giant Transformer-like Trump morphs into a swastika/dollar sign and wreaks havoc on a city before meeting a fiery, explosive demise. Johnny Depp During an appearance at the U.K.’s 2017 Glastonbury music and arts festival, the actor tore into the president — “I think Trump needs help” — and then made an ill-considered joke: “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” Depp claimed his joke was misconstrued and eventually issued an apology. Anthony Bourdain Asked what he’d serve at a peace summit between President Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, the celebrity chef told a TMZ video crew in 2017: “Hemlock.” Big Sean In February 2017 rapper Big Sean rapped a verse about killing the President on his “I Decided” album. The lyrics are, “And I might just kill ISIS with the same icepick/That I murder Donald Trump in the same night with.” Pearl Jam At a show in Montana in August 2018 that served as a fundraiser for Sen. Jon Tester, the Seattle-based rockers released a cartoon poster commemorating the show that featured a bald eagle picking at the rotting corpse of President Trump on the White House lawn. I ask you to ask yourself this. Trump was already President of the United States, did he do anything remotely Dictatorial? Was the world a better place? Was the cost of food and gas and energy lower? Did we have any World conflicts when Trump was President? Did we have an open border with millions of illegal immigrants coming into our country taking jobs, housing and benefits away from Veterans and Americans legally in this country? Did we have crime and homelessness to the extent we do now? Was the country as divided as it is today over race, gender identity and political views? I personally have witnessed and been the target of hate and violence from the left and the democratic party. At my home on my own property because I choose to support a different candidate and have different views about how I want the country run. People have yelled slurs and profanity at me, whipped the finger at me, videotaped me in my front yard and sped away, unfriended me on social media, yelled accusations at me online, and called me everything from a transphobic to a racist to a white supremacist. If you remember in the Primary in New Hampshire there were political signs that were destroyed on the roadside for GOP Political candidates. They had been ripped and destroyed and on them were written hateful slurs. I wrote an LTE about it to the Keene Sentinel this was in 2022. Obviously the behavior has continued. I ask you is that kind? Is that bipartisan behavior? Is that extending a hand across the isle? Is that kind of behavior that is accepting of everyone’s beliefs like the Democrats state that they are accepting of everyone? People who claim they are my friends have stopped talking to me, have disengaged from having any rational conversations. Why? If you are the party of kindness, of change, of unity of acceptance then why do your actions prove differently? Actions speak louder than words. I would like to see accountability, humanity, humility, responsibility and humbleness from the Left, The Democratic party, Hollywood, and the main stream media. I would like them to own what they have created. I have yet to see one ounce of accountability from the Democratic party for anything that they have done and created over the past 8 years and longer. I used to be on the Left, I used to support the Democrats and even voted and supported Bernie Sanders. I #WalkedAway in 2019 when I began to learn about all the lies, censorship, editing of videos by the MSM, gaslighting and double standards. I cannot honestly ever associate myself with the Democratic party again. They have stoked hatred and evil that is the decline of our country, our Constitution and civilization.
