I’ve always considered m... View MoreI am a Walk With. I’ve been a registered Republican since the day I turned 18. However, I am ashamed to say, I never took much interest in politics for most of my adult life. I’ve always considered myself patriotic and a proud American, but I, like so many others didn’t think I had much say in matters, and preferred to just believe that our government officials and the media had our best interest at heart. I believed whatever was going on in the world was just something we had to live with. I will be 61 this month and have voted in every presidential election since turning 18, and it wasn’t until Donald Trump came on the scene that I actually stood up and took notice. I, like others, initially looked at his run as a kind-of joke, but quickly changed my mind once he began exposing how extremely corrupt and downright evil, our entire system is. I was suddenly AWAKE for the first time in my life. And through his presidency, and by my own deep dive down numerous “rabbit holes,” so many more lies were uncovered that I would never have known or been aware of had he not won the election in 2016. My first reaction to learning the levels of corruption and deceit in our government, the amount of complete propaganda being spewed by the mainstream media and literally watching the country I’ve loved & been so proud of my whole life turn into something I no longer recognized was that of overwhelming sadness. However, it very quickly turned into an intense anger. Realizing how utterly blind I and so many others had been, (so many things were right there in front of our eyes) made me feel like a fool and only ignited that anger. Anger at all the lies & injustices we’ve been subjected to and anger over the harm and suffering those injustices have caused. I’ve been following Brandon and the WalkAway movement since early on and believe they have made a huge impact, especially where others may not have been able to. And talk about injustices and suffering! I admire Brandon’s fortitude and willingness to continue fighting with all he has been through and continues to endure. But it will take all of us to pitch in and do our part if we want to save our country from the tyranny being brought down on it. There is so much more to do. I don’t recognize our country any longer and I’m certain that if “We The People” do not stand up against those destroying it, we WILL lose our beloved country and all the freedoms so many have sacrificed for. I cannot and do not want to know what our world will look like if we do not win this war. I will continue to pray for all the brave patriots who are standing up & speaking out for our nation. We must NEVER STOP FIGHTING! And I 100% believe that Donald Trump is our only way forward at this point in time. May God Bless America!
