First, a few things that make our platform different…
We are not trying to be the next Facebook or Twitter or GETTR, Truth Social, Instagram, TikTok, etc. This is what I call “The world’s first social media platform with a mission”. We are a purpose-driven platform. To create and build a supportive community to act as a landing place for people who realize that something is wrong, and who feel they can no longer be a part of it, but aren’t sure there’s anywhere for them to go. Now there is. Our own community, built safely and securely on our own autonomous platform, called #WalkAway Social.
Am I a #WalkAway or a #WalkWith?
#WalkAway: I can no longer support or abide by the ideology of modern liberalism/progressivism, the leftist media, and/or the modern Democratic Party
#WalkWith: I have always been a conservative/independent/libertarian/unaffiliated but support those who #WalkAway
Some people walked away many years ago and don’t know how they should identify. It’s totally up to YOU. Your individual journey is supported by everybody in the movement. We don’t care if you consider yourself a #WalkAway, a #WalkWith, or some people even say, “I’m a #WalkAway/#WalkWith”. It’s also ok to take your time, do some research, ask questions, and be open to figuring out how you feel as time goes on.
HOW DOES #WalkAway SOCIAL WORK?
Primarily we are a testimonial campaign-driven community. We also encourage getting together for live events, meet and greets, socialization, activism, and more. As such, we do all of our posting in our groups. Here are a few key things to know about #WalkAway Social:
Our users’ profiles aren’t open for posting. You can’t post on your profile or your main feed (this may change in time- but for the time being we encourage all posting to be in our groups).
You are automatically added to the Testimonial Group and the Discussion Group. The Testimonial Group is where you can share your video or written #WalkAway or #WalkWith testimonial. Please be sure to watch, like, comment on, and share other people’s videos and posts!
TIP: If posting a written testimonial, it’s always a great idea to attach a picture to it! That helps draw more attention to your post. That said, VIDEO TESTIMONIALS are the heart and soul of our movement. Please make and upload a video if you can!
We have 3 categories of groups: Testimonial, Communities, and State Groups. The Testimonial Group is just what it sounds like- the place where everybody shares their stories. Communities are a category of groups we’ll continue to build as time goes on. These will be groups created by #WalkAway team members where people come together on shared interests, issues, or relatable content (Examples: Moms and Dads, 2nd amendment advocates, Spanish speaking Patriots, Artists and Performers, etc). And our 3rd category of groups is State Groups.
*In time, we plan to add a 4th category of groups which are groups created and run by YOU- our members!
Please join your State Group! (And any other state groups you’d like to join!) State groups are a great place to meet like minded people near you to discuss local issues, elections, activism, socialization, and to plan events and talk about what you’re doing!
Be sure to friend others on #WalkAway Social and interact with them!
Please click the share button at the bottom of videos and content that you like and share the content to other social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Truth Social, GETTR, etc. Encourage everyone you know to join #WalkAway Social and become a part of our community!
Remember, members are welcome and encouraged to create polls, create events in the events tabs (events can be planned within each state group or can be planned by clicking the “Events” tab in the main menu). Be sure to share your events on #WalkAway Social and all your social media platforms, and invite others to join and attend!
POSTING
Remember, for now, posting happens exclusively in our groups. So go into any group and find the post box. You can post a text only post, a photo, or a video. If posting a testimonial, we always recommend a video as they reach more people and are straight from the heart. If posting a written testimonial, we recommend adding a picture.
If posting video: Select the video from your device. Allow a few seconds for the video to process before being ready to post. Add some text to your post and a title for you video and hit share.
After posting, ALL POSTS go to a moderator for approval. This process is usually very fast. Your post should be live to the site in no time and ready for interaction!
