View More#WalkAway I was raised Catholic and let me tell you my family, especially my Grandmother, were extremely politically vocal. As Catholics we were taught that we are Democrats, the party of "love & charity" and Republicans were evil money mongers. 🤣 Although my Gma hated Kennedy, still not sure why, she hated Ford but never really said anything about Nixon and she hated Carter most of and then went on to hate Regan. After Regan the poor woman was put out of her political misery. 🤣🤣 I learned quite young, before my teenage years, politics and Presidents were important, political party commitments were NOT! Thanks to Granny! My first election was in 1988, my choices were Bush Sr. or Mike Dukakis🤦‍♀️I completely passed on my first time as a voter and thank goodness that 4 years didn't last long...by 1992 I knew why we were democrats and with Clinton in office it was a rather smooth 8 years for me till near the end when they were placing so many regulations on EVERYTHING it destroyed the business I was trying to build. This was my first dive into "Party Politics" and what the hell its all about and I concluded. If you want a job, money in your pocket, and freedom from government involvement in your life then you you probably lean RIGHT! If you prefer not working, receiving government benefits, and having the government all up in your personal business telling you how to live well then you probably lean LEFT. at the end of the day that's what it boils down to. I found with the exception of Trump both parties love War! I did vote for Obama, both terms and in the end regretted it! Talk about a paid actor and a liar! I now call myself an "Independant Right Leaning Conservative Liberal" who loves Trump!🤣 (I voted for him only because I knew how evil Hillary is and learned to love him later cuz i wasnt a big fan of his either).... Now, this could all change in future. Oh and by the way...I'm no longer Catholic, I walked away from that too, I found a perfect faith based in Christ called Born Again! 😇
