I walked away from the Democrats in the Summer of 2020 while reading a long, nasty chain of comments on a friend’s political Facebook post. One lone commenter suggested reading some WalkAway testimonials to expand the angry mob’s narrow point of view. What a discovery, what a relief, what hope I felt for the U.S.A.! When FB cancelled the main Walkaway, I read all of Brandon’s emails, kept up with posts on WalkAway NY, and prayed. Thank you for your toughness and strength Brandon, and thanks to all the admins and workers…we have watched WalkAway reborn, rising from the ashes! Now here is my story and a plea to everyone. As someone who always cared about the environment, it is shocking to see the truth about The Green New Deal and the “clean” and “renewable” energy push. Wind turbines, solar panels and lithium batteries are manufactured mostly in China and entirely by and with oil industry products. Their transportation, installation and maintenance relies on diesel power and the mining for minerals used in them is a dirty secret, a human and environmental disaster in central Africa and other countries, hidden from our view. There is nothing clean and the only green is the billions of subsidy dollars, ultimately from us!Wind and solar electricity generators produce spotty, undependable, expensive electricity, contain toxins, kill wildlife, and are not recyclable. Massive wind turbine blades don’t last and are being chopped up and buried, the celebrated recycling process to melt the blades requires huge amounts of money and fossil fuel!!Right now, the Biden administration and Governors Murphy, Hochul and others have made deals to destroy the Atlantic coast with offshore wind turbines. The preliminary sonar testing of the sea floor being done as you read this has already killed dozens of whales and dolphins, and countless other sea life. The mainstream media is silent! The fishing industry and our valuable seafood stocks are threatened. Big environmental groups like the Sierra Club, Greenpeace and PETA have sold out to the Wind Industry. The hypocrisy is sickening. Those who are speaking up are labeled as domestic terrorists and accused of taking oil money. Find out what is really going on. Join the Facebook groups “Protect our Coast New Jersey”, “Long Beach and Long Island, South Shore Residents Opposed to Wind Turbines” , “Windmills in Saltwater Scam vs The Voices of Reason”, “Citizens Against Wind Turbines in Lake Erie”…through them you will find so much information and many other groups of concerned citizens fighting wind turbines all over this country. #WalkAway can make their presence known there!
